Getting Around Fiji
Most of Suva, Fiji’s capital, can be covered in one day of walking, provided you’ve got the right attitude and a solid pair of shoes.
Intrepid travellers will appreciate Suva’s cheap and frequent local buses. A number of private bus networks cater to those who prefer their creature comforts.
While it’s easy enough to rent a car in Suva, uneven roads, reckless driving and the odd animal wandering across the road mean you might prefer to outsource the responsibility. Taxis are affordable and widespread, although it’s best to negotiate a price before travelling.
