Tour Parliament House
See democracy in action or simply get to know one of Adelaide's most important buildings with a tour of Parliament House. If Parliament is in session, you're welcome to join the viewing gallery and watch debates or the House of Assembly’s question time to see how the state operates.
On Parliament’s off days, you can take a free tour of the building at 10am or 2pm on weekdays. You'll be able to admire the interior of the House, built in stages over 65 years, and all its splendours, from finely woven rugs to tall marble columns.
Laze in Hindmarsh Square
Nothing beats enjoying the great outdoors on a sunny Australian day and, with so many parks to choose from in Adelaide, you won’t know where to begin. A few blocks southeast of Quest on King William is Hindmarsh Square, named after John Hindmarsh, the first governor of the state.
One of the park’s most interesting features is a playground at the north end, created using a number of sculptures incorporating thongs, balls, clothes pegs and fish. Benches and trees dot the perimeter to give you shade and a space to relax while the kids play.
