About The Indian Pacific

The Indian Pacific has linked the Indian Ocean city of Perth with its distant Pacific Ocean counterpart Sydney since February 1970. Crossing Australia's bone-dry interior, the journey includes the world's longest straight line of railway track, a 478-kilometre stretch across the unforgiving Nullarbor Plain.

With the full trip encompassing a 3-night stay on board, there's plenty of time to enjoy the Indian Pacific's famous hospitality. Sip on some prize-winning Australian wines as the outback rolls by or make new acquaintances in the splendour of the dining car on what is an unforgettable rail experience.
