Accommodation in Paphos
Steeped in history
Paphos is a major draw for those that appreciate ancient civilisation with an impressive collection of Roman ruins. Most of the city's archaeological sites are clustered together through the southern Kato Paphos area, making it easy to bunk up close by and explore on foot.
A sweep of hotels, spanning all pricing spectrums, offers quality accommodation for all types of traveller. The Annabelle features all the trappings of a 5-star resort, or opt for a quality mid-range hotel such as the King Jason. Both are within walking distance to the Paphos Archaeological Park and The Tombs of the Kings.
The life of the party
With its position along the coast and a burgeoning club scene, Katos Paphos is blossoming into a go-to destination for younger crowds. A stay in one of the many budget-friendly hotels along the waterfront will put you in the heart of the action where you can soak up the sun by day and wine and dine well into the night.
Star rated service on the cheap is easily found close to the waterfront. The Daphne Hotel Apartments and Dionysos Central are both within walking distance to the beaches and the huge range of bars, clubs and restaurants in the area. Both are also close to the Archaeological Park should you wish to explore the history of Paphos.
Escape the crowds
For a chance to escape the bustle of the city, it's worth getting out of the city to explore the surrounding regions. Beautiful scenery and traditional villages such as Omodos and Kakopetria abound, along with such significant sites as Aphrodite's rock – an especially impressive sight once the sun begins to set.
If you're planning an overnight escape outside of the city, there are a few accommodation options privately tucked away. The Vouni Lodge is one such lodging option 20 minutes from Omodos. A handful of hotels and B&Bs outside of Kakopetria are also available, including The Mill Hotel, which offers rustic beauty and views of the Troodos Mountains.
